Attend In-Person GG Senior Home Visits

The goal of a GG Senior Home Visit is to facilitate conversations and companionship with the seniors.

While manicures and makeovers are tools to foster connections with seniors, the most important thing is spending quality time with the seniors and putting smiles on their faces. 😊

To make your visit special:

• Engage with seniors versus talking to other volunteers / being on your phone

• Bring simple games to play

• Play some music

• Use the Chapter Creativity Fund

• Take photos and share on social media!

• Always ask the senior home as well as the individual senior for permission

• In case of any problems, ask a staff member for help right away!
  

As a reminder, never attend in-person events if you are feeling sick. In the event that senior homes don’t allow visitors, you or your fellow volunteers are immunocompromised, or your chapter doesn’t feel comfortable gathering, use the Intergenerational Zoom alternative.
