Taking Pictures with Seniors

When taking pictures with seniors:

• Talk to the Senior Home about their picture policy

• Always ask the seniors for consent before taking pictures

  • Some might not be comfortable showing their face

    • Capture shots of just their nails, over their shoulder, over their head,  below their face, and supplies (e.g. nail polish bottles and makeup)

  • As you build connections with seniors, they may allow you to take pics at future GG Senior Home Visits

• Take a combination of candid and posed pictures

  • Don’t forget to smile, even for the “candid” photos 😁 (Did someone say cheese?)

• Take lots of pictures

  • It's better to have a ton of options to choose from to curate your chapter’s Insta.
